Ashley’s birthday request:
“Yes, Harry?” he asked, not looking up.
“Where did you get that cat?”
“Cat?” Draco asked, looking up and turning to face the cat carrier, among other cages, behind him.
“That one. The tortoiseshell.”
“Oh, I got her from Granger.”
“Hermione gave you a cat?”
“Mhm. You know how she’s working at that pet shop, right?”
“Right. And that ginger rabbit?”
“Same, apparently he was always hanging around the shop when she was there.”
“Hmm,” Harry hummed, stepping closer to the animals. “They’re quite loud.”
Draco smirked, turning back to his experiment papers.
“Yes?” he asked, raising an eyebrow as he turned around again.
“Why is there a baby here?!”
“Relax, it’s just Longbottom’s son. Hermione asked if I could look after him for an hour or so. You were out, or she’d no doubt have given him to you, so calm down.”
“Oh, I see it now. He does look quite like Neville….Draco?” The baby stared at him with wide eyes, and nodded emphatically when he said Neville.
“Luna called and told me she couldn’t get in touch with Neville…” The baby nodded even harder.
“Your point?” At this he raised both eyebrows, fixing Harry with a look.
“That face, oh Dray, you didn’t.”
“I didn’t what?” He rolled his eyes. “Honestly.”
“You cannot kidnap our friends and try to do experiments on them! We’ve been over this.”
“You never said anything about anima-” “Turn them back. Now.” Harry ordered, crossing his arms.
